Monday is icky. Monday after vacation is just plain wrong. 

My 5am alarm was ugly. I was just so tired and grumpy as I drove to work in the rain this morning. But, dang, I sure was excited to see my monsters!! There is absolutely nothing in the world like seven am with sleepy, silly, starving, sunburned 8th graders who haven’t seen each other in a week! How about that for alliteration!! 

I was thinking about my nap all day. Honestly, I really was! I saw this while scrolling FB and had to smile. Monday after break is icky, for sure, but there really is always something to be thankful for-every single day! Today I’m thankful for my darling Schmoopy, friends that make me laugh until I can’t breathe, Chinese food delivery for dinner, & my sassy monsters who teach me infinitely more that I could ever teach them! 

What does this have to do with Baby J? I’m not sure, other than I know that a thankful mindset is a practice worth celebrating. Even on a Monday!

Let us be glad and rejoice in it. All of it!
